Amanda Ermine Vance

Mrs. Amanda Ermine Vance, 75, resident of Salt Lake City more that 40 years was found dead at her home, 240 West South Temple street, Tuesday at 7 a. m. of causes incident to age.

A housekeeper for Salt Lake hotels, she came here in 1897 from Watauga county, North Carolina, where she was born February 27, 1864.

Surviving are seven children, Mrs. George Hatch of Bountiful, George L. Vance of Ogden, Mrs. William Doane of Berkeley, Cal.; Mrs. J. D. Porter of Benicia, Cal,; J. Lester Vance of San Francisco; Mrs. Blaine Meakin and Lewis C. Vance of Salt Lake City; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
