Eddie Ray Buntin, 86, of Aberdeen, South Dakota and formerly of Missoula died Sunday at the Bethesda Home in Aberdeen.
Mr. Buntin was born in Bogard, Missouri on July 3, 1893, the son of Byres and Martha Piper Buntin. He was raised in the Bogard area and moved to Missoula as a young man and worked for the railroad.
He married Grace E. Sinclair in Butte on Sept. 19, 1924. They lived in Butte, Deer Lodge and Missoula where he retired from the Milwaukee Railroad in 1961.
Mr. Buntin was preceded in death by his wife Dec. 2, 1969. He moved to Aberdeen in 1970 to live near his son.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Missoula, past member of World War I Barracks No. 835, past member of American Legion Post No. 27 Hellgate Post, and past member of the Railroad Brother of Trainmen.
Survivors include a son, Arthur R. Buntin, Aberdeen, and two granddaughters.
A family service was held Monday at the Miller-Huebl Funeral Home in Aberdeen with the Rev. John Brooks officiating. Committal service was held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula on Wednesday under the diretion of Squire Simmons Car Rose Chapel.
