Obituary...Mrs. Mary Ellen Buntin
Mrs. Mary Ellen Buntin, age 88 years, passed away at the Blackwell General hospital Sunday, October 2, 1949.
She was born in Boone County, Indiana and came with her family to Pawnee, Okla., in the early days. For the past 15 years she has lived in Blackwell at the home of her son., Marshall. She was a member of the Assembly of God church and lived a good Christian life and was respected by all who knew her.
Surviving are seven sons, L.O. and R.F., Jennings, W.A. of Wichita, A.A. of Mountain View, Ark., A.G. of Kohoka, Mo., E.R. of Missoula, Mont., and M.H. of Blackwell. One daughter, Mrs. Frank Gentry, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in charge of the Porter Funeral Home, and burial was in the Mt. Vernon cemetery, near Pawnee,

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Buntin was held at the Mt. Vernon cemetery Monday afternoon. Mrs. Buntin was the mother of Rev. Marshall Buntin of Blackwell, the first pastor of the Skedee Assembly of God church.
