John B. Huddleston was the son of Charles Allison Huddleston (1833-1912) & Rhoda Lancaster Plunkett (1837-1900).

John B. & Mary Elvira (Maxwell) Huddleston had eight children: Ethel Mae Huddleston, b. 15 Dec. 1895 md Fitzhugh Lee Alcorn; William Herbert "Willie" Huddleston, b. 3 Aug. 1899 md Allie Love; Walter Whitson Huddleston, b. 25 Jan. 1902 md Irene Jones; Allie Avo Huddleston, b. 6 Apr. 1904 md James Youngblood; Oscar Huddleston, b. 4 Mar. 1909 md Jessie Maxwell; Loraine Huddleston md Morra Cowan;
Reuben Tamer "Buck" Huddleston, b. 27 Apr. 1906 md Lisa & Willene; Johnny Allison Wirt Huddleston, b. 25 Nov. 1914 md Beverly Campbell & Jesse Smith Huddleston, b. 1 Oct. 1919 md Jean Cook.


Funeral services were conducted Monday at Buffalo Valley for John B. Huddleston, 78, lifelong resident of the community, who died at his home Saturday after a long illness.
The Rev. E. D. Bennett, Sparta was in Cookeville Cemetery, conducted the services and burial.
Mr. Huddleston was born and reared in the 9th District. He was married to Miss Mary Maxwell in 1894. She is a survivor.
Mr. Huddleston was a member of the Methodist Church.
Other survivors include three daughers, Mrs. Lee Alcron, Mrs. James Youngblood, Silver Point, and Mrs. Nora Cowan, Carthage; six sons, Willie Huddleston, of Sparta, Walter Huddleston, Star City, IN, Buck Huddleston, of Baxter, Oscar Huddleston, Detroit, MI, John Huddleston, of Litchfield, KY, and Jess Huddleston, Silver Point
