John Wirt Huddleston, age 91, of Leitchfield, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

He was born November 25, 1914 in Buffalo Valley, Tennessee, the son of John B. and Mary Maxwell Huddleston.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Lee Campbell; one daughter, Betty Sue Huddleston; his mother and father; three sisters, Loraine Cowan, Ethel Alcorn, and Allie Youngblood; and four brothers, William, Walter, Rubin, and Oscar Huddleston.

He is survived by his brother, Jesse Smith Huddleston; and several nieces and nephews: Lynn Cowan, Roberta Moss, Dorotha Banister, Carl Huddleston, Ted Huddleston, Jodie Wagoner, Sherill McMatton, John Youngblood, Marlene Starnes, and Henry Huddleston.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 26, 2006 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.

Burial was in the Cookeville City Cemetery in Cookeville, Tennessee.
