Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gordon Dillon of Texas City; five sisters, Mrs. J.C. Sherman of Maydelle, Texas, Miss Ethel Melvin of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Edith Porterfield of Baytown, Texas, Mrs. Mildred Eaton of Odessa, Texas, Mrs. Maurine Beasley of Hialeah, Florida; three brothers, Gordon Melvin of Texas City, Texas, Claude Melvin of Forest, Texas and Charlie Melvin of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren.
