Burial will be in the Memory Gardens of Edna under direction of Slavik Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Frank Durham, James Ray, Kenneth Tinkle, Frank Storz, Charlie Idom and Carlos Yearwood.
Mr. Sholars was born Feb. 17, 1894 at White, La., and had lived in this county 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a retired Mobil Oil employee. He died at his residence here Sunday night after a sudden illness.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Sholars of Edna; a son, Fred Tully of Sulphur, La.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
