Louis W. Sholars, 75, of Winnfield, died Thursday, January 30, 1975 in a Shreveport nursing home following a short illness.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W. R. Gage officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Mr. Sholars was a native of Dodson, member of the Winnfield Presbyterian Church, World War II veteran, and former Winn deputy.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sara Sholars; one brother, Randall Sholars of Edna, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Laura Walsworth of Winnfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were E. J. Buchanan, James Emerson, Roy Payne, Gene Trahan, Clyde Kinard, and Ed Powell.
