Francis David Alonzo Burright married Lorine (Loraine) Augustine Chauvin on 3 June 1899 in Montegut, Terrebonne Parish, LA. Their only daughter is Frances Etta Burright born 2 Mar 1899 in Montegut, Terrebonne Parish, LA. ELTA is a misnomer misspelled.

F.D.A. Burright married first to Jennie Maxwell 23 Jul 1891 in Lamar County, Texas. No known children born to them.

Alonzo was finally found as Francis David Hunter. We believe Alonzo was adopted by a Hunter family as I received an email from a Dr. Ralph E. Hunter whose father or grandfather grew up in Indiana.

By joyce patterson November 20, 2008 at 02:14:27
I am looking for Dr. Ralph E. Hunt who is related to the Burright family.I didn't put two and two together till I finally figured out who F.D.A. Burright was. That is Francis David Alonzo Burright.would like to hear from Dr. Hunt. His email address is no longer good would like to email him and let him know his heritage.
Here is a quote from his email in 2001....
the boys were "adopted".My father moved to Indiana and grew up as Francis "Farmer" Hunt.I would love to know who my grandfather was.

I am under the impression Alonzo BURRIGHT was a ward or adopted by a HUNT family probably in Tama county Iowa ca 1870.His brother Alfonzo may have been taken in by this same family as the boys are supposedly twins per 1870 census.Would like to know if there are adoption records to look this up.
thanks, jp
