EDITH STAPLES....Requiem Mass for Mrs. Edith Anna Staples, 1011 Olive St ., widow of John M. Staples will be Monday at 9 am in Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery beside her husband. The Rosary will be recited Sun., at 8 pm in the chapel of the Haider Mortuary.
Mrs. Snyder, who was born in Harlan, Ia., Dec 13, 1880, was married to Mr. Staples in Butte, Mont., Aug 20, 1900. Her home was in Idaho from 1904 until 1917, and she resided in Washington state until 1951. In that year she accompanied her husband to Santa Barbara. He died here Aug 31, 1955.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alice Buck of Santa Barbara; three sons, John M., Charles M. and James W. Staples, all of Washington state; one sister, Mrs. J. W. Halley of San Jose, and two brothers, Melvin Snyder of Saratoga, Calif., and Lester Burright of Sacramento. There are eight grandchildren, two nieces and five nephews.
Mrs. Staples was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
