SUDDEN DEATH OF MRS. H. BORNSHEUER SHOCKS COMMUNITY—Peoria Journal Star, 1934
Chillicotheans were shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. Henry Bornsheuer, which occurred at her home by the high school early last Thursday evening. She suffered a paralytic stroke while alone at her home and was found in a state of coma by her husband when he returned from work. She passed away at six-fifteen without gaining consciousness.
Funeral services were conducted from the home, Sunday afternoon at two-thirty o'clock with Rev. A. H. Nothdurft, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Interment was in the city cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Donath, M. C. Kelly, John Mullen, Frank N. Coon, Joe Corcoran and E. W. Sweetnam.
Louisa Finck was born near Alta, Illinois, February 4, 1866, and departed this live, August 30, at the age of 68.
She was united in marriage to Henry Bornsheuer, March 21, 1893, to which union were born seven sons and daughters, namely: Mrs. Ethel Crutchfield, Wilbur, Arthur, Harold and Mrs. Ruby Donath of Chillicothe, Charles of Bradford, and Harold in the United States Navy.
The Bornsheuers moved to the Chillicothe vicinity in 1917, having previously resided in Whitefield, Ill.
She leaves to mourn her departure, the husband and children mentioned above, fourteen grandchildren, two brothers, Fritz Finck of Brimfield and Nick Finck of Wyoming, distant relatives and many friends.
Mrs. Bornsheuer was a good wife and mother and her passing is being mourned in many Chillicothe homes.
