Sarah is the 4th child of Albert Harrison Strole and Mary Ann Koontz. She shows up on the 1860 Census for Union Twp in Jasper Co., IL, age 10. Her first child Upton Samuel Garwood was born in January 1867 so we think that she and Charles Garwood were married about 1866 in Jasper County, ages 20 and 17.
