Lula P. Kibler, 81, of Newton died at 3 am Saturday, June 5, 1965, at Richland Memorial hospital in Olney, following a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Gila Lutheran Church with Dr. William J. Boatman, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Gila Lutheran cemetery with the Flagg (funeral home) service in charge.
Mrs. Kibler was born June 2, 1884, in Jasper county, a daughter of Albert Harrison and Lydia Harriet (Printz) Strole. Her father was born 28 December 28, 1823, in Rockingham County, Virginia, and her mother was born October 12, 1850, in Page County, Virginia. Mrs. Kibler was married to Lawrence Kibler on December 31, 1902, and he died in July 1955.
Surviving are two sons, Hugo of Newton and Perry of Gila, and nine grandchildren. Several brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Kibler was a member of the Gila Lutheran church.
