Albert is the son of Jacob & Eve Catherine (Kibler) Strole. He married Mary Ann Koontz on January 17, 1848 in Newport, Page County, Virginia. He married Lydia Harriet Printz December 31, 1870.

Albert Strole, age 82 years, a pioneer of Northwest Jasper, died at the family home in Grove township, Tuesday night. Deceased was a man of strict integrity, prominent in the community and in well-to-do circumstances. He was twice married - to Mary Ann Koontz and Lydia Printz - both of whom preceded him to the grave. He is survived by several children - daughters Mesdames Elizabeth Garwood, Joseph (Jane) Jones, Geo W. (Julia) McDaniel, Grant (Emma) Wilson, Richard (Rosa) Gosnell, Chas. E. (Lillie) Hicks, Reuben (Dora) Kibler, Lawrence (Louisa) Kibler and B. R. (Ada) Hopper and sons Andrew J., John V., George, Reuben and Edward, all living in Jasper county but Reuben, who resides in North Dakota. Funeral services yesterday at 11 a.m. at Kern school house and internment in a nearby cemetery.
