Taylor County lost an honorable citizen of sterling worth, and the community in which he spent his useful life suffered the loss of one of its best known and most highly respected men in the passing of William L. Hubbard, Tuesday morning at 11:15 o'clock. Mr. Hubbard died at his home where he was born and raised at Soul's Chapel. Death was due to uritis, from which he had been critically ill for a week. He was in his sixty-first year.

Surviving him are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Harry Upchurch, of Osgood, Ind., and Mrs. Benjamin Johns, of Britt, Iowa, and three sons, Owen, Henry, and Lawrence Hubbard, of this place. Funeral services will be held at the Soul's Chapel Methodist Church this morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. J.W. Marrs, assisted by the Rev. Z.T. Osborn.

Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. Mr. Hubbard had been a devout member of the Methodist church for many years and was always active and faithful in all church work. He was one of the leading citizens of his section, an energetic and progressive farmer, and always took a stand for the right, never faltering in the performance of his duty.
