One of Blair's Schoolhouse section's most elderly and revered citizens, Luther M. Williams, succumbed last Saturday, September 30. He died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Bradshaw, in the Blair's community. Having reached the ripe old age of 89 years, Mr. Williams had been ill only a few days. His death was described as caused by a heart condition.

He is survived by two sons and four daughters, besides Mrs. Bradshaw. They are: Mrs. Mary Coffey, Columbus, Indiana; Mrs. Sallie Hudson, and Mrs. Eula Coffey, both of Indianapolis; Mrs. Willard Grider, Quincy, Indiana; Lawrence Williams, Russell Springs, and Hollis Williams, Coatsville, Indiana. Others surviving are 18 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

The funeral, at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, was at Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church, with Bro. Ernest Dixon and Bro. J.W. Hubbard conducting the services. Interment, directed by Rippetoe Funeral Home, was in the Williams cemetery, near Blair's Schoolhouse. Pallbearers were his grandsons: Jerry Grider, Bartie Coffey, Otha Haynes, Chester Coffey, Eugene Bradshaw, and Dennis Williams.
