Last rites were held at Providence church, Monday afternoon, October 2, for C.D. Williams, who passed away Sunday morning, October 1, at about 7:30 o'clock. The deceased was born April 20, 1874, making him 76 years, 5 months, and 10 days old.

Mr. Williams was a member of the Providence Baptist church and lived a faithful Christian life to the end. He was married to Lena Foley, March 12, 1894. She preceded him in death November 14, 1948.

He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Bascom Williams, Russell Springs, four daughters, Mrs. Mae Sedoris, Mrs. Esther Cochran, of Louisville, Ky., Ethel Brown, of Whiteland, Indiana, Alice Foley, Russell Springs; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Luther Williams, Russell Springs, and two sisters, Lena Foley and Harriet Foley, Cincinnati, Ohio, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at Providence Baptist Church, October 2, conducted by Revs. Hubbard, and Stotts, and Warren, with burial in the church cemetery. All arrangements for the funeral were in charge of Rippetoe funeral home, Russell Springs, Ky.
