Funeral services were 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, with Rev. E. G. Steinman officiating. Mrs. Eugene McCaw was the soloist, with Mrs. Robert Joslin at the organ. Pallbearers were Frank Lovell, Charles Geerts, Kenneth Deerberg, Dwaine Baker, William Lovell and Wayne Deerberg. Burial was in the Clarence Cemetery, Clarence, Iowa.
Genevieve Viola Morgan was born May 7, 1910, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Rosa (Morrill) Morgan. She married Wilmot Louis Lendt on March 10, 1931, in Cedar Rapids. Together they farmed in both the Tipton and Clarence areas, until they retired and moved to Clarence. She was a member of Mount Zion Methodist Church, Tipton, the Rosewood Camp of Clarence and the Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving are her husband, Wilmot; three daughters, Shirlene (Kenneth) Weaver, Donna (William) Cromer and Sherrill (Larry) Ledvina, all of Clarence; five grandchildren; her mother, Rosa Kelley of Clarence; four sisters, Ethel (Archie) Yerington of Rochester, Mildred (Earl) Baker of Tipton and Gladys Morgan of Cedar Rapids; one half sister, Milly (William) Ackley of El Cerrito, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, her step-father, Christopher Kelley and two brothers, Fay and Howard Morgan, both in infancy.
