George F. Peffer, 64, RD2 Mechanicsburg, died Monday evening in the Carlisle Hospital.
He was employed as a truck driver, and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Dale (Evelyn) L. Bear, RD7; Mrs. Ronald (Shirley) Shughart, RD1 Newville; Mrs. Paul L. (Betty) Garman, RD4; Mrs. Robert (Doris) Sarber, 15 Fairfield St.; Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Stine, RD1 New Cumberland, and Mrs. Gary (Lois) Myers, 69 Cherry St.; five sons, Wayne E. Peffer, RD5; Harold Peffer, 12 Otto Ave.; Ralph and Marlin Peffer, 332 A.St.; and Lloyd Peffer, 320 S. Hanover St.; two sisters, Mrs. Hobart (Ameda) Souders, RD2 Mechanicsburg, and Romayne Glenn, 22 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg, and 21 grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the G. Book Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street with the Rev. John Peffer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Holly Springs Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
