Daughter of Thomas Walker and Mary Jane Smith. Married widower Lemuel Booker Ambrose about 1914. After his death, she married Columbus Marshall 23 Apr 1938 in Gloucester Co., Va.

Gloucester - Mrs. Mamie Ambrose Marshall, 87, of Wicomico, died Monday in Walter Reed Convalescent Center.


She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Ordinary.


Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Margie A. Robins of Gloucester, Mrs. Doris A. Moore of Wicomico and Mrs. Virgie Mae Moore of Williamsburg; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.


A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Providence Baptist Church by the Rev. Thomas Gaskins.


Friends are asked to assemble at the burial site.


The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.


The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Abingdon Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Providence Baptist Church building fund.
