David Becker
David F. Becker, 36, of Hartington, died Wednesday, April 25, at his home from accidental asphyxiation. Services were held Saturday, April 29 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Rev. Cyril Werner officiated at the 10:30 services. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home.
Dave was born October 27, 1943 (sic/1942) in Hartington to Frank Joseph and Hulda Louise (Hochstein) Becker. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1960. On June 14, 1969 he married Jeanine Crandall in Hartington. Dave was owner of Becker's Drive-Inn and Diner, president of the Northeast Nebraska Basketball League and was a member of Hartington Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Jacqueline Ann, Julia Marie and Jennifer Lynn, all at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Becker, Hartington; three brothers, Roman (can't make out), Marcell, Kenneth, all of Hartington; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Jolene) Leise, Hartington, and Mrs. Marcel (Alice) Lammers, Pincher Creek, Canada.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Pallbearers were Tom, Steve and Keith Becker, Gary and Jim Pick, and Bill Leise.
