Leeman Lowe, age 67, of Rt. 1, Helenwood, passed away at the Scott County Hospital, Tuesday morning, Nov. 7, 1978. He was the son of the late Columbus Lowe, and Louvania Duncan Lowe, of Oneida. He was preceded in death by his sister: Cassie Sexton. A member of the New River Baptist Church. A member of the American Legion Post 136 in Oneida. Survivors: Wife: Elsie Brummett Lowe, Rt. 1, Helenwood, one son: Loyd F. Lowe, Rt. 1, Helenwood, Mother: Louvania Duncan Lowe, Oneida; two sisters: Beatrice Newport, Oneida, and Macel Reid, Covington, Ky., one brother: Elwood Lowe, Rt. 1, Helenwood, four granddaughters: Anna Sue Lowe, Peggy Lowe, Patty Lowe, an Flonnie Jean Lowe, all of Rt. 1, Helenwood; two grandsons: Donnie Lowe and Ronnie Lowe, both of Rt. 1 Helenwood, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted from the New River Baptist Church 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9th with Rev. Jerry Zachary and Rev. Johnny Zachary officiating. Burial in the Reed Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 till 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at the West-Collins & Murley Funeral Home Chapel. West-Collins & Murley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
