John Hugh McKillip was the 4th son born to James McKillip and Elizabeth Fleek, and the 9th child of James McKillip and the 6th for Elizabeth Fleek. He appears in the 1870 census with his parents, but died before the 1880 census. He is named for his great-grandfather Hugh McKillip and his Uncle John McKillip. As with his siblings, the exact whereabouts of his grave is unknown and may be unmarked. It is known that his father and uncle are in Palestine Cemetery and they were living in Wolcott at the time of his death.
