McGINNIS. Rev. Jimmie Eugene, 62, 311 Washington Street, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday at 12:00. p.m. after an extended illness He is survived by his wife, Mrs Velma J. McGinnis; one son. Clyde McGinnis, Gadsden; two daughters. Mrs. Joe Cox, Gadsden, and Mrs. B. R. Watwood, Anaheim, Calif.; two brothers. Willard H. and Arthur G. McGinnis; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Harden, Gadsden and Mrs. Ophelia Daugherty, Panama City, Fla.. and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be from Whites Chapel Baptist Church Friday at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Jerry Chapman and L. F. Braddy officiating. Interment in Whites Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers are W F. McGinnis, Seab Daniel, Jr., T. V, Connell, Fred McGinnis, Wayne McGinnis and Jerry McGinnis. Rev. McGinnis was a native of Centre and a resident of Gadsden for the past 30 years. He was a member of Paschal Chapel Baptist Church and was a pipe Inspector with Attalla Pipe and Foundry for 24 years. The body will remain at Collier-Butler Chapel until the hour of service.
