MCGINNIS, Arthur George. 71, 109 A. North 4th St.. Gadsden. died yesterday at 6:15 a.m. in a local hospital after a brief illness. Survivors are his wife, Mrs Bessie Maxwell McGinnis: brother, Rev Willard H. McGinnis, Gadsden; sisters, Mrs. Carrie Harden, Gadsden; Mrs. Ophelia Daugherty, Panama City, Fla.; a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in East Walnut Street Baptist Church with the Rev. James L. Moore officiating. Burial will be in Whites Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jack Causey, Bill Stewart, Charles Freeman. Clyde Duke, L.H. Rooks, Bill Rutherford Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Arthur I. Ennis, Dr Ralph Wesley, and all personal friends. Mr. McGinnis was a native of Cherokee County and a resident of Etowah County must of his life and was a member of the East Walnut Baptist Church. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and was retired from the City of Gadsden after 23 years employment. The body will remain at Collier-Butler Parlors until the hour of service.
