Mrs. Carrie Katherine Hardin, 78. Gadsden Rt 6, died Sunday at a local hospital. Survivors son, James Franklin Hardin, Gadsden, daughters, Mrs. Doris Catherine Baer, Anniston; Mrs. Peggy Ann Reading, Columbia, S C. Collier-Butler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m at Collier-Butler Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Owens officiating. Burial in Whites Chapel Cemetery. Other survivors; daughter-in-law. Mrs. Sindia Hardin, sons-in-law. Bill Baer and Ted Reading, nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great.grandchildren; sisters-in-iaw, Mrs Della Lasseter and Mrs. Berthe McGinnis, Gadsden, host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Edward Murray, Lamar Sims, DeWitt Lasseter, Darrel Hardin, Ronald Lasseter, J W. Daugherty, Clyde McGinnis. Mrs. Hardin a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. For the past eight months, Mrs Hardin was a resident of Physicians Care Nursing Home in Gadsden. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Hardin. The body will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight.
