James M. Ressler, 75, of 118 Whittier Lane, Lancaster, died at home on Wednesday, November 23, 2005. He was the husband of the late Joyce Smith Ressler who died in 1999. Born October 25, 1930 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Mervin and Esther Kauffman Ressler. He retired in 1996 from the Harold E. Smith Company where he had worked for over 30 years. Mr. Ressler was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Lititz. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working around his home. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are two sons, David M. Ressler of Lancaster and Steven J., husband of Sherry Ressler of Lincolnton, NC; two daughters, Joyce P., wife of the late Carl Rohm of Kirkwood and Marianne, wife of James Tegnell of Idaho Falls, ID. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond, husband of Sue Ressler and Charles, husband of Shirley Ressler both of Lancaster; three sisters, Freda Hess and Esther, wife of Henry Scheid both of Lancaster and Irene, wife of Ken Frey of Cincinnati, OH. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 2:30 PM at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Interment in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30 PM until the time of the service. Military honors accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.
