Esther had worked as a secretary for the former L. B. Herr & Son, Downtown Lancaster from 1958 until 1982.
Born August 8, 1938 in Lancaster and resided most of her life on Cabbage Hill, she was the daughter of the late Mervin B. and Esther V. (Kauffman) Ressler. A Christian, Esther had attended the Lancaster Church of the Brethren, Lancaster. Esther was a 1957 graduate of J.P. McCaskey. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and doing word puzzles.
Also surviving in addition to her husband are two brothers, Raymond E., husband of Sue Ressler and Charles R., husband of Shirley Ressler, both of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by five siblings: Freda K. Hess, Irene Frey, Harry R., Blaine K. and James M. Ressler.
