Prescott--Frank S. Wingert, 73, a retired cattle rancher who first came to Arizona in 1916, died yesterday in Ft. Whipple VA Hospital.
Mr. Wingert served in the U.S. Army in World War I and returned to Prescott where he established the old ML Ranch and homesteaded the land adjacent to it near Wagoner. In 1946 he sold the ranch and moved to Marysville, Calif. He returned to Prescott in 1963.
He was a member of the Masonic Aztlan Lodge I (sic: 1?) in Prescott and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Yarnell.
Survivors include two sons, Hix of Glendale and Frank S. Jr. of Ft. Meade, Md.; two sisters, out of state; and five grandchildren.
Private Masonic rites will be in Glendale, Brazill-Whitney Mortuary announced. Cremation will follow.
