Obituary of Viola Hetrick in the Bradford Era, Wednesday 12 July 2006, pg 2 -- Viola E. Hetrick, 82, born on Feb. 6, 1924, in Bradford to Lawrence and Cecilia (Brown) Knox, died Saturday (July 8, 2006). Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Home, Smethport.

Beloved mother and grandmother Viola E. Hetrick, 82, born on Feb 6, 1924, in Bradford to Lawrence and Cecelia (Brown) Knox went to be to (sic) with our Lord on July 8, 2006.
She preferred the warmer climate in the winter and was living with daughter Wanda in Tucson, at the time of her passing. Viola loved being with her family and friends. She was active for years in the Smethport Sennior Center in Smethport before she became ill.
She is survived by a son, Roger Hetrick (Nancy) of Troy, three daughters, Ellen Kimbrell (Devon) of Waycross, Ga., Wanda Hetrick of Tucson, Ariz., and Joanne Hetrick of Greenville, NC., along with grandchildren, Stephen Chesnut (Lisa) of Gales Ferry, Conn., Joseph Chesnut (Vanessa) of Beaver Falls, JoEllen Chesnut of Bradford, Joanie Gillooly (Jonah) of Casa Grande, Ariz., Todd Tanner of Tucson, Benjamin Hetrick Stryker and Taran Hetrick Stryker, both of Mechanicsville, Md.; and greatgrandchildren Bobby, Brandon and Miranda Chesnut along with Joseph Beebee.
She is also survived by four brother, Maurie Knox of Lewis Run, David Knox (Phyllis) of Mobile, Ala., Herb Knox (Idamae) of Bradford, John Knox (Marjory) of Lewis Run, three sisters, Blanche Crane (Ray) of Zavella, Texas, June Phillips (Merle) of Sligo, Pat Verrelli of Bradford; and many loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles A Hetrick, and her sister, Betty Peterson.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a memorial service at 11 a.m. Aug. 5 at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Home, smethport.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be a donation in Viola's name to Hospice Family Care, 6300 East El Dorado Plaza Suite A100, Tucson, Ariz., 85715, a local alzheimer's association or www.alz.org, local library, she loved to read, or a charity of choice.
