Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Dale "E" Allred, 65, passed away May 14, 1999, after a valiant battle with cancer.

He was born May 1, 1934 to Ernest Allred and Irene Birch Allred Johnson in Roosevelt, Utah. He married Marlene Loveday Barnett September 23, 1954. He worked for Hill Field Air Force Base, Utah. He was transferred to Portland, Oregon and lived there 20 years. He worked for the Department of Defense for a total of 34 years retiring in 1989 and then moved to Cedar Hills, Utah.

Dale is survived by his wife Marlene; two children, Steven (Laurel) Allred and Debra (Victor) Hansen of Cedar Hills, UT; five grandchildren; three sisters, Crystal Hackett, LaVar Pace, Velma Aplanalp; and one brother, Lorin Allred.

He was a loving husband, father and friend to all. He will be greatly missed. He loved hunting, fishing and most of all he loved his grandchildren and gardening. He enjoyed giving the fruits of his garden to his neighbors and teaching his grandchildren the fun of gardening.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 18, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Old Manila Chapel 3986 West 8800 North, Pleasant Grove, (one mile east of Mt. Timpanogos Temple). Friends may call at a viewing Monday, May 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and one hour prior to services. Interment Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, Murray, Utah.
