Funeral Services Were Conducted Sunday At 1:30 P.M., From The Home At Southside For Frederick Baldwin, 75, Who Died At His Home At 4:00 A.M., Friday, November 9, 1951 Following A Five-Month Illness Resulting From A Stroke Suffered In May Of This Year.

A Native Of Johnson County And Lifelong Resident Of This City, He Was Born March 18, 1876, The Son Of The Late George And Rhoda Dixon Baldwin.

He Was A Veteran Of The Spanish American War And A Member Of The Methodist Church.

A Retired Blacksmith And Farmer, At One Time HeOperated A Blacksmith Shop And Corn Mill Located On The Creek Bank Behind The Present Grant Wheatley Property. "Booner", As He Was Called By His Many Friends, Was An Old-Time Banjo Player And Was A Popular Figure At Many Of The Social Gatherings Of The County.

Surviving Are His Wife, Frances Sublett Baldwin, And Eleven Children; Six Daughters: Mrs.Mabel Spears, David, Ky; Mrs.Nola Webb, Mrs.Mary Elizabeth Bradley, Mrs.Lodessie Endicott, Mrs.Katherine West, And Mrs.Irene Burke, All Of This City; Five Sons,William F., George T., And Buster Of This City. Robert L., Carey,Ohio, And Frederick, Winchester, ……… Continued part missing
