George was born in 1835, the oldest child of 16. His parents were Jane Pavard and John England.

He died at the age of 14 in Brigport of cholera. His younger brother David had died from the same disease just five days earlier.

George is buried in the cemetery at Holy Trinity Church in Bradpole, along with eight of his younger siblings.
