Maxine Hampton Cook, 90, of Crawfordsville, died Thursday afternoon, May 27, 2010, at home.
She was born May 11, 1920 in Darlington to the late Cecil B. and Freeda Alice Conrad Hampton. She married John Britton Jr. He died Jan. 21, 1960. She married Howard Burnie Cook in Crawfordsville and he survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Robert Hampton (wife: Barkie) and sister, Janet McClaskey (husband: Dick), both of Darlington.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jon Rodney Britton; sister, Lucille Lang and two brothers, Frederick Hampton and John A. Hampton.
