Alma Lee was born Dec. 21, 1921 in Afton, Texas to Harvey and Francis Pickett. She married Randy Barnett on Dec. 21, 1974 in Lubbock.
Alma Lee was a great woman of God who loved her Lord and was a good Christian who read her Bible cover-to-cover every year. She provided vacation Bible school to children for many years and was a tremendous prayer warrior, an accomplished artist, cook, gardener, and seamstress. Alma Lee was a loving and faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family is looking forward to their reunion with Alma Lee in heaven.
Alma Lee was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mickey Rudd; brother, L.J. Pickett; and sister, Lycena Walters.
Alma Lee is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 36 years, Randy Barnett; children and their families, Gary (Sylvia) Rudd, Robbie Rudd, Harvey (Audrey) Rudd, Randy (Mary Beth) Barnett and Lisa (Michael) Barnett Herrera; brother, Buddy (Francis) Pickett; sister, Darlene (Tom) Brown and their two daughters, Diana & Jill; sister-in-law, Penny Pickett and her two daughters, Pam and Lori; niece, Carol Ann Walters; and brother-in-law, Earl (Sally) Barnett.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Misty (Cody) Jefferson, Michael (Angela) Norman, Stacy (Andrea) Rudd, Chad Rudd, April (Victor) Martinez, Andy, David Lee, Cheyanne and Robert Lewis Rudd, Courtland, Ainsley, and Kinsey Barnett, Vanessa Gomez and Ben and Rex Herrera; and great-grandchildren, Micki Pyper, Ransom, Cash, Justin, Morgan, Regan, Jodi, Breanna, Wyatt, Jim, Xane, Zachary, Kaden, Jaran, Simon, Emily, Riley, Johnny Lee, Jaden, Alyssa and Callie.
A celebration of Alma Lee's life will take place on Saturday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at Franklin Bartley Funeral Home, 4444 S. Loop 289 in Lubbock, Texas. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetary, 5740 W. 19th St.
