Frances Bice Lamon, age 83, of Birmingham died Aug. 6, 2003. Frances was born in Morgan County. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Woodrow W. Lamon. They shared ministries in the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church for 30 years.

Frances was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She was involved in United Methodist Women's organizations. Frances was loved by all the people who knew her, including numerous dear friends.

Survivors include her sons, Marion and his wife, Lynda, of Ashville; Larry and his wife, Sharon, of Birmingham; and daughter, Bettye, of Demopolis. Grandchildren include Maria Little and her husband, Glenn, of Navarre, Fla., and Amanda Norris of Birmingham; two great-grandchildren, Lauren Little and Hannah Norris. She is also survived by two brothers, Kenneth and William "Bill" Bice of Decatur.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Roebuck Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Herb Robertson and Dr. Belon Friday officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur at 3 p.m. with Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be men from Ashville United Methodist Church.
