William Boyd "Bill" Bice, U.S. Air Force (Ret.) of Decatur, departed this life on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009.
He is survived by his son, Charles B. Bice and Charles's wife, Peggy; three grandchildren, Charles B. Bice Jr., Amy Bice de Venoge and Margaret W. Bice "Meg"; and six great-grandchildren.
Bill served his country with dedication for 30 years, including in World War II, Korea and Vietnam, retiring as Chief Warrant Office.
The family will receive friends at Roselawn Funeral Home today, Oct. 9, 2009, from noon to 2 p.m. with a service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Reception afterward at The Country Inn and Suites, 807 Bank Street, Decatur.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 2801 Hwy. 31 S., Decatur, AL 35603.
