John Edward Moss is son to Kenneth Franklin Moss and Anna Glenore (Ball) Moss. On April 27, 1952, John married Martha Delores McLachlan, and from this union they had three children - Kenneth, Lynda and William Scott Moss.
John was always called "Bud" by his family, but his dad always called him "Buddy." Sometimes he was called Ed.

John Edward Moss, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away pm Tuesday. December 18, 2001, at his home.
Funeral services for John will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, at Clark Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Brian LaMew of the United Methodist Church of Rosebush officiating. Interment will take place in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
John was born on August 21, 1931, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Kenneth F. and Glenore (Ball) Moss. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1949. John served in the Army. He married Martha Dolores McLachlin on April 27, 1952. He worked for Dow chemical for 34 years as a boiler operator, retiring in 1990, and farmed. John enjoyed fishing, farming, watching things grow and visiting with people.
John is survived by his wife, Dolores; three children, Kenneth (Mary) Moss of Mt. Pleasant, Lynda Castonguay of Raliegh NC, and Scott (Lorinda) Moss of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren, Mindy Bradshaw, Angie Moss, Emily Moss, Amy Moss, Kyle Moss, Magella Castonguay, Erika Moss, and Laurel Moss. He is also survived by one sister-in-law, Jean Moss of Mt. Pleasant; and three sisters, Kenna Jean (Ron) Buzzell of Gladwin, Nancy Hovey of Mt. Pleasant and Mary (Denver) Harless of Holt, MI.
John was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George Moss.
