CARY BALL.
SILVERTON, Or., Aug. 9.-(Special.)-Cary Ball, 59, died Wednesday after a third stroke of paralysis. He was born in Mount Pleasant, Mich., and first came to Oregon 40 years ago, and had lived in Silverton the past ten years. Funeral services were held today.

CAREY BALL PASSES AT SILVERTON HOME
Silverton, August 7, Carey Ball for many years a resident of Silverton died at his home here this morning. Until a year ago Mr. Ball was head Sawyer for the Silver Falls Lumber company here. He suffered a paralytic stroke and since that time has been unable to work. He is survived by his widow and a brother and other relatives in California. No funeral arrangements will be made until California relatives are heard from.

BALL RITES HELD AT SILVERTON
Silverton, August 9 - Funeral services for Carey Ball, who died here suddenly Wednesday, were held today (Friday) from the Jack and Ekman Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Hardie officiating. Internment was made in City View cemetery at Salem. William Ball, a brother of the deceased, arrived from Wheatland, California, Thursday noon. Besides his brother Mr. Ball is survived by his widow and two stepchildren, Franklyn and Shirly Evenson.
