Inez is daughter to Thomas Benton Ball and Mary Adelaid (Johnson) Ball and married Levi Frederick Metcalf on February 29, 1892 in Portland, Oregon. From this union, Inez became the mother to ten children -

Mrs. Lee Metcalf suffered a stroke of apoplexy Sunday evening from which she did not recover consciousness, passing away New Year's day. The funeral was held at the Trinity church Thursday, burial at the Union cemetery. She leaves a family of nine children, an aged mother, husband, brothers and a host of friends to mourn her departure.
