Hall, Killed In Crash Was Native Here
Sherman Theodore Hall, 30, who was killed Monday night in a trailer truck and auto crash on Route 421 near New Bethel, was the son of Mrs. Nancy J. Hall, Route three, of this county.
Mr. Hall a native of this county, had lived in Indianapolis for several years. He was a laborer.
Two other persons were killed in the crash which caused the explosion of gasoline in the large trailer truck, cremated the truck driver, Arlie Watson, 57, and burned to death the companion of Hall, Theoma Clubs, also of Indianapolis. Three others remain in General Hospital in Indianapolis. They were all passengers in the auto.
The body of Mr. Hall has been brought to Bloomington to the Day Mortuary where it will remain until time for the funeral. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Knight Ridge church, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Oscar Hughes will officiate.
Survivors include the mother; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Smith, Columbus Route; Mrs. Velda P. Chambers, Bloomington, two brothers, Arlie Hall, Indianapolis and Paul Hall, Route 3, Bloomington; three half sisters, Mrs. Alice Pardue, Route 3, Bloomington, Mrs. Merrel Moore, Route 2, Springville, Mrs. Ina Maule, Bloomington, and four half brothers, including, Abraham Hoff, Solsberry, Route, George Lawyer, Albert Lawyer and Minor Hall of Monroe county.
