Mrs. Velda Pearl Chambers, 36, a former Bloomington resident who lived at the home of a sister, Mrs. William T. Smith of R. 5 Columbus, died there Friday.
She was born in Monroe County, the daughter of the late John Henry and Nancy Jane (Pelfree) Hall.
In addition to the sister, she is survived by three half-sisters, Mrs. Alice Pardue of (sic) Mrs. Merriel Moore, both of R. 2 Springville and Mrs. Ina Mauel of 1218 W. 6th; and five half-brothers, Abraham Hoff of R. 5, Albert Lawyer and William Hall, both of Madison, George Lawyer of R. 7, and Minor Laywer (sic) of R. 6.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Clarence Harden at 10 a.m. Monday at Day Funeral Home. Burial will be at Knightridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 tonight.
