WILLARD HANSEN
Willard H. Hansen, 68, died Sunday at the Bear Lake Memorial Nursing Home.
He was born June 19, 1917 in Garden City, Utah to Charles Augustus and Emma Vilate Hansen Hansen. He attended grade school in Garden City and high school in Laketown, Utah.
He married Velma Caroline Lewis Sept. 20, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was an active member of the LDS church and held many positions during his lifetime. He was a Seventy at the time of his death.
He drove the Bear Lake Stages bus for 11 years, and the Zion Wholesale truck for one year. From 1956 to 1981, he was self-employed, driving the Hansen Wholesale Candy truck. He was a member of the Bear Lake Rangers and the Paris Lions Club for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and sports.
He is survived by his wife, Paris; two sons, Richard Willard, Grace; Reed Lewis, Montpelier; three daughters, Mrs. Merlyn Painter and Mrs. Lonnie(Maxine) Taggart, both of Grace; Jane, Logan, Utah; 19 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; five brothers, Hans, Ogden, Utah; Russell, Garden City; LaVarr, Ogden; LeRoy, Sunset, Utah; Jack, Paris; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Lane, Montpelier, Mrs. Weston (Leah) Barker, Evanston, Wyo.; Mrs. Ross (Millie) Smith and Mrs. Clyde (Ilene) Kennedy, both of Garden City. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Delbert, Tom and Floyd; one sister, Emma; and one grandchild, Jason.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at noon in the Paris Stake Center. Burial was in the Paris Cemetery.
