Theodore Anton (Ted) Edin was born January 3, 1905, near Sandstone, MN, the son of County Auditor and Mrs. Andrew P. (Emma Lund) Edin, and grew to young manhood in that community. He graduated from Sandstone, MN High School in 1921 after 3 years.

Ted was united in marriage to Besse Dilly of Cloverton in July 1933, and they made their home in Hinckley. He was in charge of the Hinckley Motor Sales in partnership with his brothers from 1929 to 1943, when he moved to Milaca, MN to take charge of the former Odegaard Garage there when the brothers purchased that business. Ted and Besse had two children, Theodore Robert (Ted) and Emolyn Jane, both born in Hinckley.

Ted was a member of the Zarah Temple of the Shrine at St. Cloud, MN, and was active in civic affairs in Milaca, where he was on the village council, the Boy Scout Council, and held other public positions.

Ted died suddenly while mowing the lawn at his Mille Lacs Lake cottage about 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 27, 1952. He had been active and healthy all of his life, up to the time of his sudden death. He is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca, MN.
