Mrs. Olive A. Friesendahl, 71, of Danforth Township, east of Sandstone, passed away Friday morning, Dec. 26, at the Pine County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Friesendahl was born at Bayfield, Wisconsin on Dec. 28, 1897, the daughter of Andrew and Emma Edin. She came with her parents to the Sandstone community as a child and attended the Sandstone schools. She was married to Elof Friesendahl on June 23, 1922, at Sandstone. The couple made their home in Sandstone for many years before moving to their farm in Danforth Township.
She is survived by her husband, Elof; two daughters (Ruth) Mrs. Emil Peitso of Stewartville and Mrs. Doris Nielsen at home; three sons, Carl of Sandstone, Gene of Finlayson and Lloyd of Topeka, Kansas; two brothers, Emmet Edin of Hudson, Wisconsin and Edwin Edin of Pine City; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30th at 2 pm at the Grace Lutheran Church at Sandstone with Rev. Richard Landeen officiating and Mrs. Donald Sandwich as organist. Casket bearers were: Carl Friesendahl, Gene Friesendahl, Lloyd Friensendahl, Robert Pietso, Edward Peitso and Ernest Pietso. Burial was made in the Danforth Cemetery in Danforth Township. Larson Funeral Home Sandstone, in charge of arrangements.
