Julius Ragsdale is Dead. Prominent Citizen of Randolph County Died This Morning South of Moberly.
Mr. Julius Ragsdale, one of the oldest, best known and most highly respected citizens of Randolph county, died this morning at 11 o'clock at his home south of Moberly, death being due to paralysis. Mr. Ragsdale was born in Boone Co, Kentucky, in 1829. He came to this county at the age of 10 years and has resided here since. He leaves a wife and ten children, seven daughters and three sons, Mrs. Wesley Irons, of East St Louis, Ill; Mrs. Patrick Doyle, Middle Grove; Mrs. John Patrick, Higbee; Mrs. Len Burton, Renick; Mrs. Chas. Creson, Boone county; Mrs. Will Stipp, of near town; Mrs. Frank Rice, Moberly; William Ragsdale, of near Moberly; Chas. Ragsdale, Moberly; Julius Ragsdale, of near Middle Grove. Deceased also leaves three brothers and five sisters. Deceased was a member of the Moberly Masonic Lodge and that order will participate at the funeral, which will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow from his late residence 2 1/2 miles south of town. Services by Revs. Campbell and Keiter. To the members of the bereaved family the sympathy of the Monitor is extended.
