William Ragsdale Dies Here at 96; Funeral Tomorrow.

William Ragsdale, 96, retired prominent farmer, died at 2:10 o'clock yesterday afternoon in Whitaker Hospital, where he had been a patient three years.

Mr. Ragsdale was born and reared in Randolph County, and moved to Renick after retiring from farming. He was married to Miss Nannie Mason, who died 24 years ago. He is survived by a son, Victor Ragsdale of Renick; four daughters, Mrs. G. L. Ownby of Middle Grove and Mrs. G. B. Noel of Collinsville, Ill., who are twins, Mrs. Horace Dickerson of Renick and Mrs. Ralph Mitchell of Kirksville: three grand daughters, Mrs. T. F. Boyde of Rich Hill, Mrs. Tom Tatum, Kansas City, and Miss Bernardine Noel of Collinsville; a grandson, W. R. Mitchell of Kirksville; two great-granddaughters and a great-grandson; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Rice of Renick and Mrs. Joe Burton of Moberly. The body is in the Mahan Funeral Parlors and service will be held in the Mahan chapel at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning by Dr. Joseph P. Grant of First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
