Vincent Earl Wolfe, 85, of Rimersburg,died April 14, 2010 in Butler Hospital, following a period of failing health.

Born in Tidal on April 14, 1925, he wa a son of Alonzo and Edith (Rush) Wolfe.

Mr. Wolfe was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in Europe and the South Pacific.

He married Joan Patricia Schrecengost June 29, 1963, in Brookville. She died October 26, 1995.

Mr. Wolfe was a member of the Shearer Shick American Legion Post No. 454, was employed as an equipment operator with C&K Coal Company for 27 years,from which he retired in 1987, and attended the Carrick Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include five daughters:

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sons Vincent Earl Wolfe Jr., in 1949; brothers Elmer, Delbert, Harold, Arthur and Donald Wolfe; and sisters Geraldine Ingram, Irene Montgomery, Marie Benn, Regina Croyle and Willimine Benninger.
