Harry Dively Dies at Douglas

Harry Dively, 85, a resident of the Burr and Douglas communities nearly all his life, died Tuesday morning at his home in Douglas. He had been in ill health for six years.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Dively, he was born Jan. 27, 1873, at Pavia, Pa. He married Belle Jones at Nebraska City on Sept. 25, 1889. They farmed until retiring several years ago.

Mr. Dively is survived by his wife, Belle; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Ruby) Vohs of Burr and Mrs. John (Pearl) Flessner of Burr; two sons, Clarence of Burr and Darrell of Douglas; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Francis Callahan of Douglas.

A son, Calvin, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. C.H. Rumbaugh officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Wendeln, Louis Wendeln, Roy Brugman, Roy Wendt, Oliver Cameron and William Warnke.
