Lucy Minette Horsman was born October 16, 1861, in Arcola, Indiana, and departed this life in St. Joseph's Hospital, Concordia, Kansas, January 24, 1926, at the age of 74 years, 3 months, and 8 days.

She was married to David Witheral Horsman, February 13, 1880, who departed this life February 18, 1922.

To this union were born seven children, one of whom preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her death four daughters:
Mrs. Nellie Ulrich of Castleford, Idaho
Mrs. Elsie Lambert of Fredonia, Kansas
Mrs. May McQueen of Castleford, Idaho
Mrs. Flossie Pounds of Ritzville, Washington
Two sons:
Arthur T. Horsman of Wichita, Kansas
Owen Horsman of the home

Besides three brothers, six grandchildren, other relatives, and a host of friends.

She first united with the Congregational Church in Kirwin and when the Church of Christ was organized, she placed her membership with that church.

She was a kind and loving wife and mother and a faithful friend.

Funeral services were conducted from the home at 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. G. C. Milner brought a brief message of consolation, while comfort in song was given by Mrs. Iola McFadden, Mrs. Florence Knowles, Mr. Ted and Charles Stuckman, with Mrs. Orville McQueen at the piano. Interment at Kirwin Cemetery.
